It's big, it's green and it glows in the dark. This 5ft, 6 ton gemstone discovered in the Chinese region of inner Mongolia may not only be the world's largest but also the world's most expensive pearl prized at $137.5 million, making it highly more valuable than diamonds.
The stone made up of fluorite mineral took 3 years to grind to a perfect pearl shape. Luminous stones such as this is popularly known in China as Chintamani are wish-fulfilling jewel in the Buddhist religion where one attains the wisdom of Buddha by carrying it while reciting a prayer.
