An antique 1839 Daguerreotype camera found in northern Germany which was privately owned by a family of opticians was sold  in WestLicht Auctions, Vienna in Austria on May 29, 2010 for 989,501.61 USD

This Giroux Daguerréotype is the first commercially-produced camera in the world and bears the signature of the Father of Photography himself  Louis Jacques Dagguere. Now that's a luxurious click of history!
